Description

Red Oak wood veneer sheet 24" x 48" with adhesive backer peel and stick self pressure sensitive adhesive 2' x 4' x 1/40 A grade quality. The adhesive is already on the product and you simply peel off the protective liner and apply to a clean smooth surface and trim with a utility knife (as shown - sold separately) or similar. There is a paper backer also on the product to hold it together and make it flexible. Photos are representative of actual stock and will vary in color and grain since this is a natural product. Grain runs longer direction. Some photos may be of other sizes, other products, customer projects and wet or finished veneer. Product is unfinished. Ships rolled in long narrow box with application instructions. Other sizes, bakers, edgebanding and raw veneer are available.

About pictures
: Most pictures have been temporarily wet on the lower portion of the veneer to show what the grain may look like when finish is added. Color adjustments have been made to show the color as best as is possible. It is impossible to get photos exactly correct in color, but we have made an effort to do so.

Thickness
: Paper-backed veneers are generally 1/40” and wood-backed veneers are 1/25”. Raw plain veneer with no backing is about 1/32”-1/42”.
How to cut
: generally cut with a razor knife or similar tools and some type of straight edge.
How to apply
: Paper-backed and wood-backed veneers are generally applied with contact cement. Raw plain veneer is applied with white or yellow wood glue and must have pressure applied while drying.
How to finish
: most any conventional finishing products can be used with veneer that is applied correctly.
Disclaimer: Sometimes veneers have minor splits or tears in them. These are usually taped or repaired in some manner and shouldn’t impact overall quality or satisfaction. Wood products are rarely perfect and some consideration of that may be needed occasionally since this is a natural product and is rarely ever perfect.
