Old Yellow Striped Lucite Segmented Choker Necklace & Bracelet Set Vintage

This set is striking but needs cleaning. The choker is about 14" long including the chain, and has some brown substance on the surface of the metal frame and in the cracks or a few of the segmented pieces. Looks tough to remove. The bracelet is in great shape but I see with remnants of the brown behind a couple of the segments. Wondering if it is the type of glue used to set the Lucite in. It is 7" long. Still, a cool set that looks like candy. Unmarked as to the maker. Ca. 1950s. Good luck!
