    Description

Hi Collectors.  To me, this cup & saucer set have it all!  This is a small demitasse sized set.  Set is about 2 1/2" tall.  Saucer is about 4 3/4" across. One side of the cup features "General Lee's Headquarters, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 1863".  The house with an old canon in the front is remarkably detailed.  On the other side it says, "Virginia State Memorial, Gettysburg, PA." and there is a tall monument with a rider on a horse (probably General Lee!).
The plate's backstamp has the "JONROTH, ENGLAND" logo.  Below that it says, "DESIGNED EXCLUSIVELY FOR HAROLD T. VANCIL, ABILENE, KANSAS".
Below that there's an image of a stagecoach & horses, moving fast!
I wasn't able to learn who Harold T. Vancil was to make china, but see he had other different types made over some years.  Jonroth was an importer of pottery to the US, most of which was made in Stoke-on-Trent potters, many very famous.
Both pieces are in very nice condition.
I usually ship within one day of receiving payment.  Please pay within 2 days of auction's close.
