French Colonial pith/cork helmet, cotton leather size 7 1/4 tan color sun hat

Description

French pith/colonial helmet made of cork or pith, covered in tan cotton canvas.
Very nice pith helmet, made in a more "bombay bowler" type then the usual French ones..this one has a lower silhouette/profile.
Helmet is in amazing condition considering it's age.
Shell has no bumps,tears or holes, the fabric is in good shape, no loose seams.
There's a few light stains, but really nothing serious.
The leather rim is also in very good condition.
There's two ventilation holes on each side of the shell.
The liner is the standard one found on this type of helmet, with some kind of sateen/lightweight fabric in the dome and a leather headband
There's no size indication,  my 56 goes easy (US size 7) , and has room to fit a 58 (US size 7 1/4)
It's labelled ROYAL GRAND LUXE
The chinstrap is made out of brown leather, and in good supple condition, has the double sliding buckle system.
Helmets in this shape, really don't run the streets, to get your chance on this one,
