"Home of Stone" Dodge City Kansas 9" Souvenir Plate, porcelain & ceramic.
The native limestone house depicted in the center of this plate was built in 1881 in Dodge City. Ford County Historical Society has owned it since 1967 and it still stands today and can be toured. In the photos I've added a picture of the actual house.
The artwork in the flowers and vines is absolutely beautiful and when in the direct light the paint changes to a shining gold color.
The stone house also has a 3D effect and a raised, textured feel to the black detailing.
Excellent condition with no chips or scratches.
