Quartered Ash wood veneer 48" x 96" with wood backer 4' x 8' x 1/25" thickness A grade quality.

Some people prefer wood backer over paper backer because it is thicker (covers minor imperfections better) and may bond a little better, though both work well. Ash is a light yellowish color and will darken some when finished as can be seen in wet photos. Some pictures may be of other sizes. Count on quality. Quarter cutting results in straighter grain, but won't be perfectly straight. Ships rolled in long narrow box with simple application instructions. About pictures
: Most pictures have been temporarily wet on the lower portion of the veneer to show what the grain may look like when finish is added. Color adjustments have been made to show the color as best as is possible. It is impossible to get photos exactly correct in color, but we have made an effort to do so.

Thickness
: Paper-backed veneers are generally 1/40” and wood-backed veneers are 1/25”. Raw plain veneer with no backing is about 1/32”-1/42”.
How to cut
: generally cut with a razor knife or similar tools and some type of straight edge.
How to apply
: Paper-backed and wood-backed veneers are generally applied with contact cement. Raw plain veneer is applied with white or yellow wood glue and must have pressure applied while drying.
How to finish
: most any conventional finishing products can be used with veneer that is applied correctly.
