    Description

    This is an antique plate that may be of interest to people in Langdon, Kansas.
    One the base is an imprint of the store that sold the plate that reads:
    MADE EXPRESSLY FOR HENRY WATERMAN HARDWARE IMPLEMENTS HARNESSES LANGDON KANSAS
    It also has the name of the original owner incised into the base: Rebecca Ellen Clark Pruitt (?) and the date 1915.
    The plate bears the manufacturing mark of the Knowles, Taylor & Knowles (KT&K) pottery company of East Liverpool, Ohio (1854 to 1931).
    Found in an estate lot in Indiana.
    Shows signs of age and wear, some scuffing, older chip, loss of gilt.
