    Description:
    A beautiful choice crisp uncirculated replacement banknote from Egypt. This is the Cairo 12.1.1985, very desirable 25 piastres banknote issued by the Central Bank of Egypt. The banknote is purple and pale blue on pale lilac and multicolor underprint. It depicts the image of Al-Sayida Aisha mosque at center of the front. The note is signed by Shalaby and has the serial number as well as the series on the front. The note is series Sad/200 whish is a rare replacement banknote of this series. The back of the note has the same color scheme as the front and displays Egyptian arms at the time within a circle and flanked by corn, cotton and wheat and is written in English. This particular note has the serial number 3043405 and is from the series Sad/200 (indicating it is a replacement banknote) displayed twice in black lettering on the front and not on the back. The note has a watermark showing the mask of Tut Ankh Amon. It is signed by Mohammed Saleh Amin Shalaby governor of the Central Bank of Egypt at the time.
